Hi. I’m Toni Richter, a somatic therapist.

A woman sitting on an orange textured chair, smiling, with glasses, wearing a brown t-shirt, dark green skirt, and brown high heels, against a plain light background.

I want you to know this: I see you.
I see how much you’ve been holding, much of it never meant to be yours.

Therapy with me is a space to slow down, notice what you’re carrying, and begin to set some of it down at your own pace. You don’t need to be polished or fixed. You’re allowed to be learning, uncertain, angry, sad, or tired. We make room for what’s true.

I specialize in somatic therapy for women tending to attachment injuries and relationship wounds. Many of the women I support—often mothers and female therapists in their 30s and 40s—have already spent years in therapy. They’re insightful and capable, yet still feel stuck. They’re ready for work that goes beyond talk therapy and includes the body and nervous system.

Using EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, IFS, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and trauma-conscious yoga, I offer a body-based, relational approach that supports awareness, regulation, and reconnection over time. Rather than chasing quick fixes, we focus on creating the internal conditions where change can unfold.

My work is informed by a decolonized, feminist lens that recognizes how patriarchy, white supremacy, and capitalism disconnect women from their bodies, needs, and worth. Therapy becomes a place to gently unlearn these patterns and reconnect with your own voice and truth.

Your body already knows.
Our work is about helping you listen.

I became a therapist because I believe women deserve to feel whole, safe in their bodies, and free to live for themselves—not just in relation to everyone else. Too often, we’re told what we “should” want and how we “should” be. That conditioning disconnects us from our body’s wisdom and keeps us carrying what was never ours.

This disconnection doesn’t just harm her—it ripples through families, relationships, and even across generations. But when a woman reclaims her voice, listens to her body, and trusts her own truth, everything shifts. Cycles of pain and silence can be broken. Children grow up knowing they are wanted. Families rise stronger.

My why is simple: I want women to know they are enough. I want them to return to themselves, to rise rooted and embodied, and to create the life they actually want. That’s where real healing and less suffering begins.

I offer virtual somatic therapy for women in Missouri and Utah—especially mothers and female therapists—who want to explore what they’ve been carrying and reconnect with themselves in a grounded, compassionate way.

Core Values

  • Wholeness
I believe you’re not broken — “healing” is about reconnecting to your full, authentic self and loving yourself

  • Embodied Healing
I use somatic therapies, yoga, and EMDR to go beyond talk and support deep, body-based transformation. I focus more on what your body physically is feeling than what your mind is telling you.

  • Liberation-Focused
I practice from a decolonized lens, helping you break free from inherited systems of harm like patriarchy, white supremacy, and capitalism.

  • Intersectional Feminism
I honor the complexity of womanhood across race, class, sexuality, ability, and motherhood. You are seen in your full context.

  • Human-Centered
You're more than a diagnosis. In fact, I rarely discuss a diagnosis with you. I value honesty, compassion, and honoring your whole humanity. I value your uniqueness. Society has values and beliefs they tell us to care about. I care more about what makes you you. What are YOUR values, what do YOU care about. What is YOUR why for living

  • Depth + Realness
I don’t do surface-level. Healing here is raw, deep, I will ask the hard and uncomfortable questions. I do challenge, disagree, and support you.

  • Interdependence
You don’t have to do it alone. I believe in community, co-regulation, and healing in relationship.
